EMIRS OF LAPAI IN SUCCESSION.

1.Etsu UMARU DAUDU MAZA,

The founder and first emir of Lapai. He reigned btw (1825- 1832).

2. ETSU YUNUSA,

a brother to daudu maza succeeded him and became d 2nd emir of Lapai. He reigned for 6 years.

3.ETSU ALHASSAN BAJI YADEDE,

Also a brother to daudu maza succeeded him and became d 3rd emir of Lapai.

4. ETSU HAMIDU JANTABO,

Also a brother to daudu maza succeeded him and became The 4th emir of Lapai.

He reigned for 36 years as a great figure in Lapai Fulani history. Under his strong his Leadership, cloth of White men first made it's appearance in LAPAI.

5.ETSU ABUBAKAR ATIKU

The great grand father, who was the first son of Jantabo succeeded his father and became The 5th emir of Lapai. He reigned for one year only.

6.ETSU ABDULLAHI BAWA,

The second son of Jantabo, succeeded him and became d 6th emir of Lapai. He was a profligate and died in 1893.

7.ETSU ABDULKADIR,

the third son of Jantabo, succeeded him and became d 7th emir of Lapai.

He was a little better but extremely unpopular. In 1907 Abdulkadir abdicated and died 3 years later.

8. ETSU IBRAHIM,

The fourth son of Jantabo, succeeded him and became d 8th emir of Lapai.

He reigned for 16years.

NOTE: All this four viz; Abubakar Atiku, Abdullahi Bawa, Abdulkadir and Ibrahim are children of Etsu Jantabo.

At this juncture, daudu maza dynasty have grown up and the zeal of becoming an emir ignites their interest, but as The saying goes: for all d princes we know, it's only Allah that chooses an emir.

However, d division of the ruling house between Jantabo and Daudu Maza was made.

9.ETSU ALIYU GANA (Muhammad Mainasara)

The lucky one among them became d 9th emir of Lapai.

This is why he was called Mainasara. He reigned for 14 years.

10. ETSU UMARU

The son of Ibrahim succeeded him and became d 10th emir of Lapai. He reigned for 17 years.

11. ETSU MUHAMMADU KOBO,

The great grand son of daudu maza succeeded him and became The 11th emir of Lapai. He reigned for 48 years.

12. ETSU UMARU BAGO TAFIDA, The grand son of Ibrahim succeeded him and became d 12th emir of Lapai since 2002 till date

NEWS: Black Saturday: Fire kills ten newborn babies in Indian hospital

Ten newborn babies died on Saturday in a fire at a state-run hospital in western India, officials said. There were 17 infants in the unit for sick newborn babies when the fire broke out in the early hours of Saturday at the Bhandara District General Hospital in Maharashtra state. Seven infants died due to smoke suffocation, and three from burn injuries, Maharashtra health minister Rajesh Tope told reporters. Seven babies were rescued by the nurses and ward staff. All the infants were aged between a few days and three months, Bhandara district health official Prashant Uike said. The government has ordered a probe into the incident and a safety audit of all neo-natal care units in the state. Initial reports indicated that the fire may have been caused by a short circuit in one of the incubators, Tope said. “The staff said the ward quickly filled with lots of black smoke,” the minister added.
